Having loved three rescue dogs from birth and puppyhood to maturity and then decline, I felt a lump in my throat on reading this. Dogs age and decline in such short arcs compared to humans. They remind us life is finite. We must relish our days like they do, swimming, running, smelling and yes seeing. Wonderful story.
